Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science has announced call for projects, where participation of UK colleges and universities is welcome.
Lithuanian higher education institutions (universities and colleges) together with a company (-ies) and/or employer organization can apply for funding for preparation and implementation of training program customized for company (-ies) needs. By this project Government wants to encourage Lithuanian higher education institutions work closer with employers and develop their employer services (further training).
UK colleges and universities could offer consultancy services in the following areas:
- Training of lecturers and consultants-practitioners from Lithuanian universities and colleges– skills development by organizing training visits, intensive courses in Lithuania and/or abroad. Trainings should be based on innovative training methods, learning by doing.
- Deliver bespoke further training services to Lithuanian business companies.
- Selling of methodological material, software, e-learning material.
Total budget allocated for the projects is 10 mlnLitas. Minimum amount for one project is 300 000 Litas. Deadline to submit proposal is 30th of September, 2011.
